Winter indoor climbing takes place at the Kirkwall grammar school games hall. Access via swimming pool entrance. New members welcome from beginners to experienced. Cost for indoor climbing is £3.00 for adults and £2.00 for children. Indoor climbing runs from September till the end of june.
Winter sessions have started new times 7:15pm - 8:15pm kids / parents plus beginners / prospective members,and club members.
8:15pm-9:30pm Inducted members only. This will allow kids and prospective members to get more attention during the 7:15pm - 8:15pm session and then allow adult club members to concentrate on climbing and training from 8:15pm - 9.30pm. we now have regular sat afternoon sessions for inducted members.times will vary from week to week,so check the events and meets page before going.
Membership fees are due for renewal now :
Adults £20 under 18,s £15.00
The membership year now runs from sept 09--sept 10
New members must join the club after 2 trial weeks and complete an induction session if they want to continue using the wall on club nights.
nb Parents belaying for kids but not climbing must also pay membership ,so that every one is covered for mcofs third party public liability insurance. Junior members must be accompanied by a parent at all times.
